Nice work everyone so far.
Nice job on Eddie, lifedoesntimitate. I set you that challenge because I have a hard time trying at him.
I also havn't received my challenge yet, im not sure that Zamfir visits the forums anymore. I havn't had much time for drawing with all this college work I have to do, but I would like to participate in this. Seems like fun.

Here's an attempt at David Bowie. Hope you like it. I wish I could have found a picture with a big smile, because in my head, that's how I pictured bowie, but I'll see what you all think of this one anyway. Erik. and Don, you gave me the challenge, so make sure you give a real critique. Feel free to tell me what sucks.  |

Does sort of look like he should be in NYPD Blue. And thanks for telling me straight. It looked like the one picture I was using, but as I said, to me it didn't look like the picture I have in my head of Bowie. I will give it another shot. And hey, if I could pull it off first attempt, it wouldn't really make this a challenge.

I don't really have much to add, but I just wanted to quickly say that I respectfully disagree with Niall. I definately see Bowie there. It may not be perfect, but perfection is rarely if ever attained in my experience. I have a friend who is a huge David Bowie fan, but he has moved far, far away, but I'm sure he would give a good critique if I could track him down. Anyway, if there are any big Bowie fans on this board, feel free to post whether or not you think it looks like him.
Also, Erik, maybe you could post the reference picture that you used. That might help some people know where your picture came from.

I'm glad you don't agree, thats what makes caricatures so different, know 2 are ever the same, i should of said i was huge bowie fan, but i did'nt feel it was relevant.
