Back by popular demand!
The rules are simple. Each participant is assigned a member. You choose who (tom jones, elvis, cher, etc.) you want your member to draw and with what medium (pencil, digital, etc.) to do it with. Make sure you pick the medium from their list.
If you are interested in joining in on this, post the mediums that are available to you, NOT what you prefer to use, but what is available. If you want to play, but are limited on time, only post the mediums that you feel fit into your schedule.
The time frame for this round will be 2 weeks - give or take, depending on who isn't done after that time.
When everyone is ready, I will draw names for each member (at random). I will post the list for who everyone has in this thread. You then need to contact your member (through PM) and tell them who you want them to draw and with what medium (from their list). After you complete your drawing, painting, etc. you should post it in here.
If you have any questions, please pm me and I'll do what I can to help you through this.
Sign ups will end Sept. 24, 2004. I'll post the list the following day.

Keep in mind, the idea here is to get you to do something you wouldn't normally do. Make sure to list the mediums you have not what you normally use.
(Of course, not everyone is like me with tons of unused art supplies lying around, right?)

YAY!! I'm so glad this is back! I've not been here for long, but one of the very first things I asked about was the member to member challenge.
I'd like to state in advance that I am not very confident in my abilities, but am so excited to participate in this.
I have at my disposal (in addition to only a VERY brief "how-to" knowledge of each) the following:
Markers (which I only use the black one for outlining)
Prismacolor Art Stix (but I only have a 24 pack, so quite a few vital colors are not at my disposal)
Colored pencils
Photoshop (which is still new to me and is something I am constantly amazed by)
That's about all I have. Thanks, everybody.

count me in. Here's my list: graphite pencils colored pencils charcoal watercolors pastels digital (WACOM Graphire 3) pen & ink (micron pens) Eric, don't worry about your abilities. I think I speak for everyone in the fact that this is supposed to be fun. It's about pushing the envelop and taking a walk on the wild side by doing something outside of the norm. We are all in the same boat here. We are all still learning. Now, let's have fun, fun, fun till our daddy takes our t-bird away (oops, I'm getting a little too excited here - down boy) Seriously, just enjoy yourself and consider it a learning experience. There's a great bunch of people here. True, some are better than others but we all have the same goal. To have fun, learn, and more importantly to draw. So, just jump right into the water with both feet, don't be shy. Thanks, Ricky

k, i can use: pencil coloured pencils marker (black is all i have) ummm... actually, that's about it. i have other mediums available to me, but not that i'm very comfortable with yet, and i don't seem to have a lot of time these days for trying new things. i guess this kind of goes against the point of the challenge, but hopefully for challenge #4 i'll find myself in a situation where my schedule is a litttle more open...

mark asked me to do tony blair in pencils. now, part of the whole idea of this cahllenge is to get you trying new things. i didn't open myself up to that much, as the list of materials i posted was all ones i'm used to. however, mark's request did get me doing one thing i'm not used to: political caricatures. i really don't follow politics much, it bores me. i have a george w. bush caricature on my website (in the "sketches" section, finished version finally coming soon! ;D), but it's probably my least favourite of all of them. i hate to sound all "artisty", but there's really none of "me" put into that one. i only did it because my wife kept insisting i should, figuring i could make some money off the t-shirts and prints of it. anyway, i'm rambling. point is, i don't do political figures usually. i'm quite pleased, however, with the way this one worked out. let me know what you think. especially mark.

I'll tell you what I think Don, I think it is excellent! The Dumbo ear-wings are killer! I think even Mr. Blair himself would dig this drawing.
