This is going to be the offical thread for the previously discussed topic. There will be a new thread for each round. If you are interested in joining in on this, post the mediums that are available to you, not what you prefer to use, but what is available. If you want to play, but are limited on time, only post the mediums that you feel fit into your schedule. The time frame for each round will be 2 weeks - give or take, depending on who isn't done after that time. When everyone is ready, I will draw names for each member (at random). I will post the list for who everyone has in this thread. You then need to contact your member (through PM) and tell them who you want them to draw and with what medium (from their list). After you complete your drawing, painting, etc. you should post it in here. If you missed the discussion it is here. I hope this makes sense. If you have any questions please ask. |

here's my list of stuff that i've used:
colour pencil
markers
acrylic paint and canvas
pencil
ink (almost any type; brush, pens, dip pens, quill, bamboo pens)
stuff i have but never used (but i'm learning!):
photoshop
illustrator
pastel
i have drawn caricatures (you know that!), comics, and cartoons for brochures and such. I've also done portraits in pencil. i love caricatures the most. i've done the quick sketch kind of caricature, and i love doing the more involved caricature, where i get to play with all sorts of materials. i'm working on a poster of the survivor all-stars, which i plan to paint in acrylic, and then make into cards, prints, stuff like that

would it be cool if i got in on this, even tho I don't do caricatures? my usual style is the person as an anime character and it's gone over well in the past from friends receiving the drawings as gifts. =) so it's like a caricature, but my own style...=)

That's fine Blaze. I just read an article in a caricature magazine about artists that do anime caricatures along with the traditional ones.

okay...what I have for use is this:
8 and a half by 11 white paper
black ink pens(thin and thick)
pencil
pencil crayons
watercolour pencil crayons
and some photoshop skills(colouring a lil bit, maybe airbrushing. i'm still working on it.)

The person has to be able to get a good photo of the person. If you can provide a good/clear image, then it would be ok.

Here is the list of who everyone has. PM the person you have with the subject you want them to draw and a medium from their list. Make sure you PM the person with the info so they don't have to try to find the post. Post your finished work here. Try to finish within 2 weeks, if needed we can run longer.

Ok here is my challenge as requested by Scott.He wanted toonmom riding an alien like a horse. Using any method i chose.I sketched the toon in pencil,inked using a fine brush .Scanned into photoshop.Colored using the fill tool,toned and highlights with,burn tool,dodge tool,airbrush tool.Also used the marker tool. hope you like Grant  |
