I'm glad you like it Blaze. I drew over 17 different sketches of him to get this one.
That's the first anime style caricature I have seen. You did a good job on it.

excellent job, blaze. so does this mean i'm the only one who hasn't finished my challenge? it looks like it. i'm such a horrible procrastinator sometimes. (perhaps i should use the old excuse of "i have a dentist appointment..." coz i really do!). i'm enjoying seeing all these new challenges. it really stretches us as artists, which is great.

I think you and smokestack are left. No hurry, I set the deadline for 2 weeks.
Did everyone enjoy this? Should we start another one when we get the final entries in? Should I pick the names at random again or would you like to choose who you have?
Let me know what everyone thinks!

Hey there,
I'm still working on mine. Soon...
I enjoy this if nothing else than it is pushing me to try and capture the likeness of the person instead of giving up.

i like the idea of you picking at random. it's more of a challenge, since you don't know who is gonna get your name, and then you have to think about what subject you're going to challenge someone with. let's definitely continue this.

I sure will...how did you like his shirt ? You must be his favorite artist to wear a shirt like that...
;D

believe me, bruce is quite stylin. the bad shirts he sometimes wears are for movie roles...sort of. c'mon, he's a middle-aged dad, he's not brad pitt! besides, when you see the boring wardrobe my husband has, bruce is a real change of pace. (hubby wears only black hanes t-shirts with the pocket in front, levis bootcut jeans, and black boots. never ever wears colour, or even another style of shirt!). next challenge, someone is gonna get chris isaak. now, there's a man with style!

Smokestack Jones challenged me to draw Buster Keaton, using a medium I'd used before and one I hadn't. So I chose charcoal and black eraser. I've done drawings with charcoal before but not a caricature. And the black eraser was new: it works great with charcoal.

Very nice stoontoons! What is a black eraser?

instead of white plastic, the eraser is black. it doesn't smear the charcoal like the white erasers do...i like it for charcoal. i found it the other day at the art supply store, and decided to try it. i will use it again, that's for sure.

Hey Stoon,
That's fantastic! I love the expression. Charcoal? You're a braver person than I.
I guess I'm bringing up the rear. Well, I'm 3/4 through, will post soon.
