it sounded like you were offering an explanation of why it wasn't that good...which surprised me, coz i thot it was very good. did i offend you? i'm sorry for that. you were being honest, and i misinterpreted. i often get annoyed with my work. can't look at it afterwards, coz all i see are the huge mistakes i've made. i think all artists must be perfectionists!

Hi Everyone, I just joined today and this is my first offering. The idea of these challenges is great. I wish you put these up everyday. I love to look at drawings. So this is my version of Uma. Done with ballpoint pen.

i can see how the shading makes it look like an adam's apple. what i was going for was that skinny, bony neck. if you look at her from the side, it looks like her neck has a lump in the middle, where the bones stick out, because she's so skinny. i didn't do a very effective job on that bit. something to watch for when i redraw it.
