at first yes, but on top of the workspace you'll see a bar with all the tool's settings, be sure that the mode is set to foregroundcolor. The progrgam is still being devellopped,so if you encounter a bug you can always report it on the site, her's the URL: www.artweaver.de/index.php?en_contactyou'll be contacted in notime.Only the feedback from users like us,can get the prograzm to the intended heights.

An update to version 0.3.8.1 for Artweaver is now available. This version contains only bug fixes. So, very worth the hassle of getting it. Easily created a new brush(pastel) for this drawing.3 layers and we're having fun! I advise this version to everyone. You don't need to look at the pricetag anyway.

is it worth trying? do you believe is it better than Photoshop or Painter? I would not say it' better.Painter IS the better of the two.But for howlong??? It's in any way the cheapest of the lot.Tell me a program that's free, and gives layers and natural paint?(don't give me pixia or gimp) the best runnerup would be Project dogwaffle. But ARTWEAVER is a user friendly progrgam, very much LIKE painter. And I encourage every effort of free licenced software, especcially for art.Because everybody must be able to make art.And without giving an arm or a leg, or searching for pirated software.

Wow is that program progressing. 3.9 is out right now!
The only thing I've noticed is that its a little slower than Painter, and not as many bells and whistles but a solid great program.

Very nice Hans! Are you using a Wacom tablet or something like it when you make these drawings, or just a mouse? The drawing is very good, but I'm afraid I couldn't tell who it is, should I be able to?, i.e. is it someone noteworthy or is it someone that none of us are likley to know.
