I was just wondering how many of us here have blogs? I have one, you can find it here: thoughtsbyro.blogspot.com/. To tell you the truth, I'm not really sure why I have it. I mean, what's the point? If you do have a blog, what do you use it for?

I have a blog that's on "member only" mode at Live Journal. Let me know if you want to check it out. You'd have to be a member first. I've been thinking of trashing it for various reasons. Another one is at my site: mikepaglia.com (click on blog). Not much new there either. For me, posting on my site (where I would LIKE to post stuff at) is a problem because I have a stalker who just loves to go into anything personal; then use it later on me. She's my mother. And I don't want to get into why right now. I'm already have a crappy day:( -Mike

I have a blog, too, and a Stalker! (my twisted sister-in-law, who says she won't talk to me, but spies on my blog, and then reports to everyone else...don't know why, don't care). I have a blog because I wanted a way to share my ideas and sketches with others, while I'm away at school. I really enjoy having it, and my son is doing a great job teaching me about HTML code. check out mine at angrymonkey01.blogspot.com and if you want to see the one my son designed for himself, (as well as a very hilarious video called Golf Cart), there's a link on my blog.

Stontoons, I am SO HAPPY that you have a stalker!!!!!!!!! Wait, that sounded very weird What I meant was that I'm glad that you can relate to my situation--does that make sense? People without a twisted family member don't tend to understand the whole "privacy" thing that well. Glad to hear that you can empathize with me; and me with you--woo hoo!!! A book that you may be interested in is How to be Inviisble: www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0312319061/qid=1105991440/sr=2-1/ref=pd_ka_b_2_1/002-1666270-6209632 . It's helped us keep off the radar. That's how dangerous my mom is:( Thanks for the linkage:) Mike

I checked out that book...I think it will have some very interesting information that I can use....I've always had a dilemma with having a blog, but not wanting certain people to see it. There should be a club for stalker-victims...maybe we could trade stalkers and see if somebody else can handle them better!

If you do get the book; make sure it's the revised/post 9-11 edition. Things have changed since then On Live Journal, there's a community called "Psycho Moms" -Mike

I must be in a time warp or passed through a black hole. I have no idea what a blog is. Will some one enlighten me. If some one ask me how my blog is I 'm likely to make some stupid statement like " Hanging well, hows yours.?" Although I don't know what a blog is I'm sure this would not be the right response. When did this blog thing come into our society? Should we be afraid of it? Will it overtake us? I have so many questions. I'm old so please answer as soon as possible.

Don't worry, lightshifter. No huge loss not knowing. Basically, it's a place to log your thoughts on anything, really. It's sort of like an on line journal. A lot of them tend to have political slants, but there really aren't any rules on how to conduct your personal blog. You just write what's on your mind, and if you make it public, people can respond. I think my favorite description was something that I read that basically said:
The web + a log = a weblog > a blog
Hope this helps. A great place to start one up is called blogspot.com, I believe. Also blogger.com, but I think they are pretty much the same site.

Thanks for the info on Blogs, I think I'll stay away from them. My thoughts are the only place I have that is private anymore. Can't imagine why they would be interesting to anyone else. I'll send my spare time in a more pleasent pursuit such as drawing and painting and listening to good music.
