Here you go Chris. I thought you might like to have an amateur take a shot you after all the pros have done their business. By the by. My colors kinda got washed out during my scan. DUMB OLD SCANNER!

this one is very good Chris, it aproach more to the style that i like a lot, more "retro", nice use of colors and pencils.to me is good to see in ur works the changes of style, i think it give u more versatlity...anyway i think all correspond to cycles of everyone, knowing that nothing is static, and all is in change.after a while in the realistic way i miss my abstractions with watercolors, i hope to retake them, and know with new mind-tools.

This is great Chris! You always achieve that 3D look to your work (something I need to work on) and the coloring is always great.
Do you add the white at the end or work around it?

wow chris. this is REALLY really cool.. amazing!!! this is definitely one of my favorites of your caricatures. i really like the style, coloring, expression, exaggeration...yeah...basically everything! really well done. one thing i don't like as much, just my opinion, is how you often use sharp angles on the cheecks where there should be at least some smooth curve. here it's on your left cheeck (on our right). that just something that bothers me. and two other small small things are that your hair (on your head) in the middle looks a bit confusing (or maybe i just can't figure it out) and your chest hair looks more like straw (because it's thick and straight) than actual chest hair.. maybe you don't agree. besides that i love it!!!

Thanks all for the comments, jong, actually, Im part scarecrow and my hair is rarely combed....haha, okay honestly, I was confused when drawing my hair, because honestly, its really never combed. okay, and Ive been batteling myself to develop a "style" so to say...and I like the look of the angle check on this one, with the "realistic" shading...but its just a personal taste, and I can see how it would bother someone, cause it snto anatomically correct. Ill try to avoid that on my next peice though...to see how it works.
Toonmom, well I work around the white parts for the most parts, but sometimes I feel the white of the paper isnt vibrant enough, so I go over dabs of it with titanium white acrlic paints..minimally...like on my eyes, glasses, and nose...although its still white, it feels like a different white...if that makes sense....especially on the original. thanks all for all the comments!!

personally, i like the sharp angles. if it were just the cheekbones, it might look out of place, but there are enough angles on the rest of the drawring to make it look like just part of a style.

hehe.. you're funny part-scarecrow-man. ;D yeah, i guess the sharp angle thingy is just a matter of preference. maybe i'm the only one it bothers.. i just thought that it was just a liiiitttle bit too sharp. as far as your style goes, in my opinion you already have a distinct style. i could tell what work is yours even if your name wasn't attached to it. once again, love it!
