Well without knowing where you live I don't know what schools are near you, but speaking from someone who who went to art school twice..your past marks don't matter as much as you think. The most important thing is to have good ideas and the rest just falls into place as long as you have some talent (which you have plenty of)...And when I went to art school the second time there were people there that were all ages... so it's never to late to do what you want. As long as you have the ideas and passion for it.

maz, both toonmom and i are planning to return to school in the fall. she's taking art education, and i'm taking visual communications (which is design and illustration). both of us are a little long in the tooth, and have had our share of disappointment at school. i nearly failed graduating high school, and it wasn't until i was an adult that i learned that i have ADHD and a learning disability. so now i'm pursuing my passion, my dream to become an illustrator. i'm going to a great school where they've been helpful and welcoming. and i'm not the only mature student, so i won't be alone. it can be done! i applaud your desire to do this...my advice is, find out what program you're really interested in, then talk to the advisors at the school and determine what your weaknesses in studying are. once you know that, then you can figure out how to deal with them to make your stay successful! (most schools like having mature students, because they're not there to party, they want to learn!). good luck with your pursuits! and let me know how it works out for you.

What stoontoons said!
If it is your dream, go for it. I did aweful in high school, actually, I dropped out when I was 16 because I hated it so much and I was failing all my classes. But that is the past and I have a better outlook on school now. BTW - I am 32 and I have never attended a day of college. I start September 1st and will be going for 4 years.
