Hi all. Love the GREAT pictures I've seen on here. I'm no where near as good as the stuff I've seen, but I'm starting. I haven't had an art class in my life, but have always loved drawing, and seem to have a natural talent for it. So, I'm trying to learn some things and become better. some things about myself... ?? Um, I'm 24. I'm married to a military guy (Air Force), and we've got 3 beautiful children, Alex (she's 7), Myah (she's 4, but will be 5 August 11) and Arrack (He's almost 2 months old). I'm a stay at home mom, which I love. I have a strong christian faith, but I'm open minded too and have a lot of friends from many different walks of life. I think the worst thing you could ever do is judge someone else, and the best thing is to be a friend. Um, I love balloons and hate flowers. This might be cheesy, but Oprah is my hero. My favorite artist is my brother in law, Josh Renfro. He's a tatoo artist (and yes, it's art). I love the comic Elfquest, and my favorite book is The Red Tent. Well, that's a little about me. Hope to see your work soon. I'm an ex miliary brat myself. My father was a career man in the Marine Corps. I served for a couple of years and went to VietNam myself ... As a matter of fact I was supposed to be a combat Artist.... they put me in ART-illery. (go figure!)

ebeth, you and i have much in common. my dad is ex-navy. i'm a mom, with two kids, and i too have a strong christian faith. i share your thoughts about judgement...i work in an art gallery, so i have the opportunity to see different people and cultures in a way many christians don't. i love art, particularly comics, and wendy pini is an amazing artist!
welcome to our board. it's more about the joy of drawing, not whether we are perfect or rich or famous (only a select few get to that stage!).

Ebeth, my "babies" aren't babies anymore. My brilliant genius son (big grin here) is 22, and my creative, visionary daughter (another big grin) is 20. But I still remember the days of trying to draw, and take care of little children, and work part-time. I didn't sleep until they graduated.
