I'm glad to see you here. Jump right in on anything that interests you. If you can make time, try the caricature challenge just for fun.

Oh my! I hope I am the right Rosemary! didn't expect a message oh so soon! Well it is nice to be here and hope to learn a lot from you all. I live in Arizona, married, no children. Do have doggie kids though. Love music, Celtic music, art history and of course, doing artwork. I work mainly in colored pencil doing a variety of different subjects. Hope to make artists friends here.

Hi Stoontoons! I am new too! Lots of things to look at in here. I haven't had a chance to check out everything, but from what I have seen is beautiful work!
I am very familiar with Verna Curnow. I have several of her colored pencil books.

Hi Stoontoons! Well you know, I wasn't getting any email replies from here for a long time so I assumed nothing was going on here. I decided one night to check it out and saw all this activity had been going on! I was shocked! So much nice artwork. I love all your pieces you have put in here. My favorite is Courtney Love! I will check out the other sites. I am afraid I am not good on lessons. Feel like my work isn't up to standard to be doing that. But I am always available to give my techniques but more than open for someone to tell me better! ;D

yes, it is beautiful in canada. that's why so many of our artists have been landscape artists. ever hear of the group of seven? most famous canadian artists of all. they painted various land around canada. in saskatchewan, that's the most popular type of painting. i guess if you live surrounded by all this land, and you make your living from it, it just seems right to paint it. i have never done a landscape...i'm not really connected to that style, even though it is part of our history. what about arizona? what's the most popular style of painting?
