Hey DM I'm always hanging around somewhere. Getting bacak into my fine arts mode doing a water front scene at a little fishing village, Aripeka, Fl. Just a small Pastel I started it Plein air and brought it back to the studio to finish it.

Light: scan it in lets have a look see...we share a common interest caricature and landscape. Quite the opposite...the beauty of landscape is you don't have to get the nose right ;D

Here is my drawing. It not good, but really is like my first try. It's alittle rough, but if I would spent more time on it; it may of looked better. ;D Also how do you guys actually get the pic on instead of the link? Thanks! tinypic.com/68tvex.bmp

you should be able to just put the link in an image tag, but it didn't work. Maybe it's because your using a bitmap file? Maybe try the next one using jpg or gif?

Nice shot Ricky. Your caricatures are looking really good. Keep practicing to bring the likeness a bit closer and I think you'll have some great caricatures.

Oh, gosh I'm embarassed. If I had actually thought about that longer before I just started typing a reply, I think I could have figured that out!!! Um... art background.... I had art classes in middle school, does that count? And, I'm taking Mauri's course now!!!

Yes, I was referring to art training. It looks like you have had some training. I guess you either practice a lot or you were born with the ability to draw. I'm really just jealous because I can't draw bodies for the life of me and you do a great job with them! Keep up the good work.
