Well recently I've been causing a little havoc round here about watching the designer on a program called overhaulin' his names chip foose and watching roughly i saw he used only markers. Watching carefully for the last 3 episodes I've noticed he uses plenty other ways too.
I was thinking of trying markers as just a single way but realized the prices on most, quality ones. maybe thats just because there a special kind in don't know.
Not being too involved in art myself before i don't know mediums you can use. What would someone suggest that can be bought on a budget. I know pencil coloring isn't too expensive but it doesn't look rich in the color, I've always liked the look watercolor has given, pencils are faint like them but they don't go as smooth looking as it does.
anyone knowing something thats similar to watercolors but doesn't involve a paint brush it would be even better.

here's the thing: you can find cheap products in any medium you choose... watercolours, pencils, acrylics, oil paints, markers... whatever. the problem is, if they're cheap, it's because they're lower in quality. unfortuantely, getting good quality products in any medium is going to be pretty expensive. maybe you could try chalk pastels?

i know its not really cheap but looking for quality products that could be probably bought on a budget, like i keep finding markers for like $7.99 each on the net, and i will require a lot of shades of color, as i plan to work like you would painting, work from the lightest to darkest. Probably most markers id find locally without going to a specialist shop would be that come in different shades or wouldn't go on top of each other, or other flaw.
I remember i have an art kit that i got bought, but as far as i remember its little kids thing that might not be good enough for what i want. It would be good to get refillable markers as refills should be cheaper than buying a new set of markers.
