I've been contacted by a company in California who has a customer who is interested in several of my watercolors. They want me to give them a wholesale price. I feel my prices on my watercolors are actually pretty low already. Has anyone wholesaled any of their works before? If so .. what percentage should I knock off?

Mikey,
Hi, I have a question, are they doing prints of your paintings or do they want to buy the originals? Sounds like they want to make prints. If this is the case I would sell them the rights to reproduce the image. Even if you have to take a bit of a loss. (keep the originals) The prints will help to make more of a name for yourself. It will also make the originals worth more. Don is right most of these people want to make money on your work without the appreciation for the art however, take advantage of the publicity. They will put the money up to promote the prints. You can use this to your advantage in many ways. Also make sure your signature is in a spot on the painting that will be reproduced.IM me and I can give you more details. Hope this has helped.... Mauri
