Since we have been discussing some watercolour ideas, I thought I would submit one of my latest paintings. A bridge not far from where I live in Southern Ontario, Canada.

Beautiful DM....I am sure I am going to miss my days in Ontario...spent almost three years there....just not going to miss all of the loonies and toonies.... ;D

That is beautiful! You really achived a lot of detail. How many layers would you say is on this one?

toonmom: The more detailed areas such as the bridge had several glazed areas, the background and water one or two Then drybushing over some of the areas of texure like the stone part of the bridge...detailed areas more opaque. Sometimes if you go too far you end up with it going too muddy. With watercolour very tough to recover your whites, thus a difficult medium
