Here is an oil painting of my deceased father I did for my mother back in 1993. The photo (posted beneath the oil painting) I used as a reference was the only photo of my father that my mother really like and this was because it was the only photo of him where he was smiling! The only problem with this photo was that it was only 2 inches x 1 inch in size because it was originally from his employee badge he wore at work! Back then I didn't have he convenience of a scanner or computer so I had quite so Hell to blow his 1 x 2 image up to the 16 x 20 inch canvas! But with a lil' work and a lot of looking through a magnifying glass I finished it in about 2 weeks! Tell me what you think of it!
Thanks Robbie (aka Dr Death) ;D
The finished (16" x 20") oil painting.
The original (1"x2") photo

This is truly a great effort, with great results. I can only imagine the time it took to accomplish these results.

Wow, very impressive! Could we perhaps see a smaller version of your painting? I can't see it in one go. I think it is a wonderful portrait and truly more impressive drawn from a photo the size of a postage stamp! Ack, my peepers ache just to think of it! -Slim (doing some eye exercises to prevent fatigue)
