Thanks so much guys. I should be doing some more studies today. As I have said before I want to learn the figure inside and out so I can draw it accurately from memory. These studies help when drawing from life or figure invention. I have broken down my studies to these primary exercises.
Gesture- rhythm study. The flow of the figure.....
The foundational- Knowing the bones and Muscular structure..
Atmospheric- This includes light and shade of the figure. Working with the cast...
The Mass- Working on simlifing the body through form drawings, cubes, cylinders boxes,etc.....
Seeing- this is sustained poses from life. Sight to size method of working. One pose no less then 16 hours.
Quick Color studies- To work on color theory
Sustained color studies- This will includes long pose studies of the figure in oil. 16 to 18 hours.
Head drawing- Long and short poses.
Head painting- Long and short poses.
Perspective-
Thought I would write out some of these. For those of you who like drawing the figure and for those thinking of taking a life drawing class. Drawing from life will help you grow more then you know.
