Is anybody familiar with Philip Guston, a modern artist? We had to watch a film about him during Critical Theory class...as usual, I zoned out and the only thing I remember is an image of this vague, shadowy form that looked like the face was draped in cloth. I grabbed my pen and doodled this little character, based on that brief glance. Sometimes I wonder how my brain gets these ideas...

No, you're right. My work has improved a lot since I began school, and posting on the board. BTW, I put the wrong picture up...that's the drawing I did of Honore Daumier's work. Here's the sketch I did in class; That probably makes more sense now, doesn't it?

Wonderful! I don't know if it has ever been done before, but wouldn't it be interesting to publish collections of margin work. I'm referring to all of the doodles drawn in the margins of notebook paper over the years.
Maybe there is a marketing concept here!

Thought you might want to see how I'm developing this "margin doodle"...I refined the pencil a bit, I hate the armadillo idea I started with, so I'll change that...but I like the nomad character better now!
