Are You An Artist?

I'd like to see someone say that Sebatian Kruger's caricatures aren't art.....he's the epitome of a caricaturist. Tom Richmond, Niall, Hans, Nelson Santos, Stang, Mauri, Mikey, toonmom, stoontoons, tooned......the list goes on and on....all caricaturists....we're all artists

i'm thinking like you klaatu. the only thing that is hard now, is to define the limit between art and non-art. That will be a long discussion...

If a person wants to convey,express,something to the world ,
he choses many ways.

if he choses to write he is called a poet,writter.
if he choses to express his feeling through music he is called a musician.
if he choses painting,sculpture,cartoons,caricatures any of the fine art...he is identified with a word artist.
he is called an artist by the world.he canbe a sculptor,he can be a cartoonist.but the general norm is artist.
for me if any person has the creativity,passion to share his views through his work of art...he is an artist.

an artist who sees a world in different way...and he shows his vision or view to the rest of the world .

it can be an oridary street view...but how you see it and express defines the norm artist.thats what i feel like.

the church vangoh witnessed and saw...he painted his view for us to see.
similiarly bill watterson showed his view on his cartoon strip calvin and hobbes.

i regard both of them highly...as i see both of them artists.its only their medium is different.and ofcourse their message.

i was going through this thread.i felt an urge to say these things.
this is just my thoughts on the subject.ah!yes ...im an artist.
