This is a painting I did many years ago of Saturns Moon Titan. It was painted in Gouache, Unfortunately I don't have the painting anymore so this is a rather poor copy from a photograph...  |

Thanks Single...and Ricky -This was actually painted in the 70's when Chestley Bonestell (one of my heros)was still alive...My only regret is never writing to him...He really is the Grandaddy of Astronomical Art.

I thought this may be of interest...This was painted around the same time as the Titan picture (1970's) for a German publisher. This unfortunately is only a scan of the actual paperback book, which is why you see a grainy texture to it...the texture was on the book itself....I had no say in the design of the book (Lettering etc..)..but it's a nice souvenir to have from all those years ago. This was painted in gouache too.  |

If I remember correctly I think it's acrylic on canvas board, can't really remember doing it as it's nine years old! I've got loads of books of NASA photos which are amazing, and other books of that type of art. Bob Eggleton is one that springs to mind as being brilliant at that sort of thing.
