Color art work

My monotonous caricatures must be boring you so I thought I would share some of my color work with you. These are tigers and landscape paintings in watercolor. I love nature so my work mainly related to it. I haven’t done much coloring work from years. Tigers I did when I was in art school. I used poster colors, which was my favorite medium in school. As this medium needs lot of time I didn’t use it since then. Landscapes are my recent work. Considering time and effect I prefer to use watercolors. Though it’s not that easy for the beginner like me. But it’s fun learning new things and I enjoy using this medium and hope you’ll enjoy my work too.

Ricky, once my uncle asked me to draw his portrait. When I showed him that he didn’t look happy, he thought I drew his caricature After that I never tried portrait of any human being.
Mikey, could you give me some idea about “Gouache”. May be I’ll try it some day.

Makarand...These are BEAUTIFUL...really nice work mate.

I've used gouache lots of times...I always describe it as the "inbetween" Watercolour and Acrylic.
It's not as fluent as watercolour, but can be overlaid (To a certain extent) like acrylic...but doesn't dry waterproof...I'm starting to confuse myself now.

Recently I have seen Gouache in art store. Before that I didn’t pay attention to other mediums as I thought it is an oil-based colors. Although I haven’t used it yet it seems like poster colors; effect & application could be different. I need to try it...
