it's copied from a picture i had in a magazine, it took me about two hours to do..... glad ya like it ;D

you guys copy pictures?  you should have a fan art board for that you know. not just have them in with the rest. and if you do do fan art your meant to state WHERE EVER the picture appears what it is, who the original artists are or who its trademarked to and if possible a link to their website. its illegal otherwise. you seriously have to state VERY clearly that its fanart and this artist only said it when questioned.... |

It's ok to copy others artwork, it is common practice when learning to draw and has been done since the beginning of art. Yes, you should always state that it is copied and where you got the original picture from. If I'm not mistaken it is only illegal if you are trying to sell copied work, if it's for your own collection there is nothing illegal about it.

No, it's only illigal if you try to sell them. Of course, you do have to put a disclaimer as well, but i forgot, never mind though, i know i haven't broken any laws or anything, i'd have known by now lol. Glad you all like it ;D I didn't think it mattered about stating wethr or not it was copied, but, if it is such a big issue, i will say that i did copy pictures, when i did, if you know what i mean |

It is not an issue at all. I always state my reference (well, I try to remember to) just so I don't get any comments on how creative the design, character, etc. is. Would love to see more of your work.
