What kind of paint do you use and does it need sealed with anything? I might give this a go on my son's window for christmas.

Thanks Craig.it get very hot here over Christmas. But its easy jsut to stick with tradition.Makes people feel cooler. Have seen snow a few times.Went to the mountains last May with the kids.there first ever experience with snow.we had huge fun. The paints are a water based acrylic.Sigh writer use them...Ask a pain shop.they should be able to help you. no need to seal it.

doesn't the rain wash it away? or does it never rain there either? i did some of these last year, but i did them in tempra paints, on the inside of the window. then, to keep customers from scratching it off, it had to be sealed with a transparent sealer ususally used on acrylic paintings. this sealer can be washed off, but only with some serious work, so the windows could still be washed in the meantime.

Don the rain does not effect them.i could throw a bucket of water over them, and it would stay on.And we get very little rain over the summer.Sometime kids will scratch there name on them. But that is also very rare.

Tooned,
Wonderful job! As always! I love to see these. They remind me of being a kid and watching the window painter paint (same thing you are doing same time christmas) He would draw on big paper then tape it to the back or inside of the window then he would go out side and trace it on to the window. Was cool. Thanks again for showing these!
