There are some things that were changed before giving this to the client, the hands and the one eye. However this pretty much as it appeared at the finish. I fogot to take a photo of the finished product.

I have yet to try pastels. I bet the client was very happy with it.

Yes she was. I presented it to her in a restaraunt and she went from table to table showing it to friends. It makes you feel good when they are that happy with the work. I enjoy pastels because the are nearly pure pigment and the colors are close to oils. Which I also enjoy, they are also easily portable for plien air painting and sketching, though most of my finished work is done in the studio. If you like color you will like pastels.

beautiful portrait. I've never tried pastel either - come to think of it, I've never tried any color. Someday I'll be brave enough. This is great though lightshifter Ricky

I've never tried Pastels either...Great job on the portrait...Babies are so hard to draw because their features haven't developed properly...I can't draw babies, only cartoon ones.
