In my window selection it says everything is showing, but I don't have the layers pop up or the colour pop up[ etc... Whats up with that...?

by me (painter essentials,and painter classic) you have a menu item that says "windows".There you canhide/make visible your palettes.you can also from there (de)activate each palette individual.
you can mostly force this by pressin "ctrl"+ a number on de numeric pad.don't know the correct numbers,but it can be quickly sorted.

Yea thats wat I did, but even when it says they should be visible they do not appear on the screen...?
