all right, toonmom has officially jumped in! i loved king of queens, especially arthur! after watching joe bluhm's video in which he does his cartoony caricature of bill murray (see it here: bluhmdigitalpodcast.blogspot.com/2007/10/bill-murray-caricature.html), i got in the mood to do another one of my flash cartoonish-style caricatures as well, and what better celebrity to make a carttony drawring of than the cartoonishly cutesy betty white? it's a pretty stark contrast to my billy idol, isn't it? comments welcome.

I personally don't care for this "retro" look, but you did a nice job on it all the same.
I have by female A sketched out. Just need to ink it and add some color. I was also inspired by Joe and did something totally different for me. I hope to post it soon.

thanx. this style isn't something i'd want to do all the time, but i do like it as an occasional thing.

Here is my female A - Angela Lansbury Something a little more exaggerated than what I normally do.

i can see some resemblance there. it's kind of off-putting for me the way the eys look cut out from another picture and glued on. they don't look like part of the whole.

I was trying to push things a bit, I guess I failed. Oh well, we have to expect a few failures before we succeed.

i think that would have worked fine if the rest of it didn't look like you were going for a more realistic approach. either all realism or all stylized. unless there's a specific point you're trying to make with the combination of the two.

i'm not generally much of a news watcher. but i like this guy. good sense of humour, a humanitarian, and not too high on himself. my wife likes him too, but i think for different reasons... anderson cooper.

No, I am not trying to combine the two, I just am not good at exaggerating.
I had to google mr. cooper. From what I seen on there you nailed him. I like how you have stretched his face. This is something I can't pull off. I think I need to study the works of others.

good advice to yourself there. i think i finally learned how to pull it off more effectively after spending a ridiculous amount of time on opdebeeck.com.

Mom, the key is practice drawing rectangles over trapezoids, .....creating faces copy from real or use ur imagination. practice more parts of a face
