I didn't post an update of Mikey (yet) I was trying to get more detail in the eyes but kept making mistakes so I spent an hour just closing what I was working on and kept starting over. I did manage to save a copy of the version with the background and the entire head is fleshtone so I didn't have to start from the very beginning. But, I got frustrated and called it a night. Good Grief it's harder than it looks. But, I'm persistent so I'll get it. I'll be posting one tonight. I've decided to stop trying to get perfection and just have fun with it. I'll post tonight good or bad. Stay Tooned..... Ricky

I'm getting more wrinkles waiting in tense expectation!
;D
You might want to do what I do ... I save a new file every 30 minutes or so or with a major change, like (Ricky01, Ricky02, Ricky03, etc.) That way if my computer crashes or I decide I don't like what I've done I can revert back to an earlier stage easier.

I didn't follow from the start,sorry.
Did you start on paper? A4 or bigger/smaller? or directly digital? My point being,if you want to do it good, make the size as big as your machine can handle( well,sorta....) I draw A4 and scan at 300DPI,this gives a nice size to work on the smaller details ,like the eyes

thanks Mikey.....I've started doing that (duh! I don't know why I didn't do that before....well, my wife always says I have a selective memory......wait, what was I here for? ;D) I'll try that every 30 minutes tip - sounds much easier than to start all over again. Now Mikey, you can't get more wrinkles now - that'll mean I'll have to go back and put those in..... ;D Hans: thank you again...I did rescan my drawing at 300 dpi - it's nice and big now. I even found out that I can zoom in and out in Painter. I'm ready now to get crackin' on some work. Ricky
