I create a drawing with pencil then ink it and scan it into PSP8. I the use fill for the main colors. The problem is that I get a lot of white lines and and spots that are not covered by the fill. Then have to sped a lot of time trying to cover the white area with the spray can and brush. Any suggestions?

Make sure you have a good contrast in your drawing.Or scan an inked drawing.. *duplicate the layer(must be a layer, not a background.) *go to : layers/new mask layer/from image.. *in the dialogue that appears choose: -source (your filename ,standard selected) -source luminance -check the option invert mask data *OK now you'll see only the lines of your drawing, below it you can paint as much as needed . that's how I did the one on this page. virtualart.proboards20.com/index.cgi?board=draw&thread=1094974927&action=display&start=30hope this helps

No thanks, I had to be here anyway I like any questions about the truely magnificent and much underrated PSP ,I love to help out on this. The artmedia tools in version 9 lifted the program up to the big guns.

I agree about PSP I have Coral painter essentials 2, that came with the Wacom tablet and also Photoshop elements 2, I like PSP the best I guess because that is the one I started with. Coral Painter essentials 2 is a pain in the donkey. The background on the canvas is green as is the color indicator, I can't change either one no matter what I have done so far. I guess I better read instructions that might help. I don't know why but it always seems like jumping in and using the program is the best first thing to do, "not".

I begin to get used to painter essentials2, but is far from a bug-free program. If it has strange issues, you can always report it on the forum ( www.wacom-europe.com/forum/default.asp?lang=nl) quick help over there, if it's athing that can be adjusted. If it's a bug, they will be happy to know about it. Other than that I also use PSP9 and Corel PhotoPaint12.
