I'm not sure about after market products, but the one (painting prog.) that came with the PDA I have isn't very good at all. It's jerky and lags behind which makes it very difficult to get a decent picture.

www.eclipse-game.com/?menu=tools&sub=graphic&dat=7This an old friend of mine, from the early computerdays, coming even from the amiga. It used to be called "deluxe paint" it was the max in those days, now it's not, :Dbut with a little try and error ,it should do the trick.it is worth it's money because it's free. it's been dug up again because of the nintendo games(gameboy advance) mobile phones and PDA's. It even runs on ALL versions of windows, so you can try it out right now.

I wouldn't really recommend a PDA for drawing on. I had one and it tended to respond quite slow when using it for drawing. I was using MS paint to draw on. Which could've been the problem.

weres the information that its compatible with PDAs, i've been told not everythign will be compatible so i need to check things. for the gameboy advance how?
Im not mainly getting a PDA for painting, just was on about getting a painter or something for it, so then after practicing with a few skills i could easily paint soemthign on the go. It would probably do to say when im on the go and as the PDA i am on about getting doesnt support Wi-Fi i cant really do much unless i use a phone as a modem. Im a bit of a web developer aswell so a simple program to generate ideas in is a big help, i would probably think of getting a wacom tablet but i dont believe theys ell them round here also they may not be too god as there touch sensetive and when writing or anything like that the pressure isnt so good i would have deep colour all the time.

yup... still feelin' stupid.... Don't feel bad, Don. When my husband (a computer programmer) and I (2 degrees in Computers and Networking) start talking technical stuff regarding Operating Systems, applications, System Resources, I/O, bitrates, etc., my daughter has told me that listening to the two of us, is like those old Charlie Brown cartoons, where the teacher is talking to the kids in school, and it sounds like "Muah muah MUAH wahh wah muwah wha MUAH wha muwah..." It's kinda like one of those "if you need to ask what it means, you don't really need to know" type of things... As regards running a drawing app on a Pocket PC, the quality would be SO poor overall, that you won't get any decent practice, because the resolution will always be too poor to be rendered on "real" PC's with any quality, and your contributions would seldom be truly appreciated for the effort you will have to put into them to draw on that small an input device. Wacom tablets are sold World-wide. If you can post here, you can get a Wacom. You evidently haven't used one, or haven't used one for any decent amount of time, or you would know that there is NO hardware out there that is as powerful, responsive and SENSITIVE as a Wacom. I have an old Intuos 1, 9"x12" drawing surface, and with 1024 levels of sensitivity, beleive me, I can make the most subltle of strokes, or the boldest, as I choose. Good luck with the hunt, but you'd be better off using the handheld to jot down ideas, and carry a sketchbook and pencil with you for drawing on the go...
