inspired by niall's appearance on ireland's late late show or whatever it was called, i contacted a local morning show called breakfast television where they do a lot of community interest stories and stuff like that, and i'm going to be appearing on there on the 20th, doing caricatures of the hosts and whoever else they might throw at me. i'm really looking forward to it, since it will feed my love for being the centre of attention at the same time as giving me a chance to promote my party services and my website. it's not as large a viewing audience, i guess, as niall's show, but it is broadcast all over maritime canada, so out of all those people, maybe SOMEBODY besides family members other caricaturists will start logging on to my site, and who knows, maybe i'll finally even get my first t-shirt order or something!

great stuff Don! an excellent opportunity for you! There is a Breakfast TV in Toronto shown on City TV...very popular around here...all the best. try not to get the shakes  |

just a word of advice...don't spit on the makeup artist's brush...they get very testy about that.
(my son did that, appearing on a kids game show...she was going to charge me for the brush, and I was trying not to laugh - she didn't think it was funny).
Just be yourself, make a few jokes, and repeat your website/company/name many, many times....

well, i filmed the appearance a couple of days ago, it aired yesterday morning, and today i checked my e-mail to find several messages from people who had seen me on there, asking questions about how to get their caricature drawn, and about my prints and stuff, so... i guess it worked. i checked the website stats and the number of hits yesterday was over EIGHT TIMES the average number of hits on the last few days before that. now i need to think of more ways to get myself in the public eye, to keep that number up! the pressure!
