visit colleagues, draw them, and have them draw you.And exchange links, and banners. post a link to your site at sites like this : www.magixl.com/heads/links.htmlAnd participate in a few cometitions and display the adress clearly on your picture (keeps others from stealing too)

A couple of simple things you can do is add your web site to your profile here and also a link to your site in your sig or at the bottom of your posts. This way the search engines will find your site when they scan this one.

You see the little line at the bottom of the posts under the "logged" text. Well under neath that is where the "sigs" go. I signature is anything you like, any text, picture, link etc. For example you could have your name there. or maybe a funny comment.
To activate a signature you go to "profile" at the top of the page, then scroll right down to the bottom till you see signature. input some text into there, a link to your site whatever you like then click the change profile button.
The signature should now be set and you will have your name, link etc underneath all of your posts.

Don - I see you got that sig thing going on now (thanks Adam). If I type google don pinsent, nothing comes up. If I check again in a week or two your link should show up.

yeah, that's one thing i've been concerned about for a while actually, because i made sure that both my name and the name caricatures by don appear in the text on the homepage of my site, but neither phrase, when typed into any search engine, brings up any results. the site is registered, so i don't know why that is or what the heck i can do about it. one more thing i'll have to e-mail my website guy about, i guess.

Don, the way Google works (not sure about other search sites), is checking how often a website is linked to from other sites. So, if nobody is linking to your site, then you wont get very near to the top of the list. And of course the opposite is true... the more other sites that link to your site the higher you will get to the top of the google search results list. So, what you should do is link to other caricature sites, and ask them to link to you.. every little link helps ;D
Greetings Mark

okay, toonmom, if you want me to. but i ought to warn you: i ignore that rule many caricaturists have that you should flatter women more than men. i'm ruthless to everybody!

As long as it's in the name of fun, I'm ok with it.
