I often do a caricature that at the time I am quite happy with. But mostly a short time afterwards I look again (usually after I have posted it) and I see a dozen things I would like to change. Quite frustrating sometimes. I think I should maybe not post so quickly, but then if I waited till I am absolutely happy, then I wouldnt post at all Anyone else have similar experiences ? .. Mark

Yep! All the time! I think part of it is seeing it on the screen (for me anyway) where you can stand back and get a good look.

sometimes I'll wait a day . . . . then post it the next day.

I hear ya. It can become a rather anal process...the thinking. Actually some of the most inspired pics are quick and spontaneous.

i agree that some of the best drawings are very spontaneous. my problem is overworking it, and losing that spark, the energy that was in the first drawing. even tracing it loses some of the dynamic motion of the original. and i start to rethink whether my first instincts are correct. at least , with live gigs, i can't do that. i have to draw quickly, then move on. no second-guessing!

I alway try to have it all in one go,make a smaller sized copy, and post it right away,if not good,I'll hear about it,if I'm not happy afterwards, there's always a chance to redo a piece.
