I have had a real bad year when it comes to hitting kangaroos on the road.Until last night i had hit 2,or should i say 2 hit me.jumping from the bush into the side of my car. Well last night driving home i hit 2 wthin 10 minutes. The first was a small wallaby that just came out of nowhere.hit it front on.came back expecting to see a dead animal on the road.Instead it was just sitting on the side of the road in shock.as i approached it,it slowly hopped away, very sore and sorry.i have no idea how it survived. 10 minutes later a huge kangaroo shoots out of the bush,i turned a hard left to miss it.but it hit my drivers side door.bounced of and kept going on its way.I was so stressed and alert for the rest of the trip home. They are such a menace.you just never know when one will jump out.

I sympathise with you toon, i live very rural and i hate driving at night, i thought i had problems with foxes and badgers running out in front of me. But compared to kangaroos with no road sense running out in front of you. i realise i don't have a problem.

Tooned, it sounds like you just need to walk wherever you go. haha ;D No, really, I can relate in a way. we don't have kangaroos jumping out at us, but in my neck of the woods, deer can be a problem at times. Especially in the fall. I put my son's head in the windshield because a deer jump out in front of me and instinctively I slammed on brakes. The deer was so close to me, don't know why I missed him. My son was ok, just confused and dazed at that moment.

Fortunately the only thing I've ever run over or hit was a bird. I've almost hit several deer, but never made contact (scares the crap out of you just the same though). Sorry to hear about your bad luck Tooned!
