Death of a Friend

Just wanted to let everyone know about a blog that a friend of mine wrote; he passed away early this morning. If you know anyone suffering from cancer, or you're watching someone you love suffering, this blog can be a great help and support.

It is difficult to read, as it details his brief and painful journey through cancer, so please, if you're sensitive, take that in mind. If it's okay, I'd like to post his picture in a day or two, and have everyone contribute their rendition. Dwayne was a man of great humour, and always laughed loudest at my cartoons. Let me know if this would be cool with you guys?

I have seen these things from closeby, so reading this...., I will give it a pass for a while.

I lost my Dad 18 years ago and my Mom 4, and had to learn you never get over it, but you get used to it.

Ditto on seeing the pictures, if that would help a bit, it would be a pleasure.

oh Corky, I just read this...I'm so sorry. I as well look forward to seeing his picture. Dwayne sounds like a wonderful, kind, and caring man. I'm sure he appreciated and loved his time he shared with you. He will be with you always. I personally want to thank you for sharing Dwayne's journey. I do find it supportive and informative. My father-in-law has been battling this disease for a few years now and I pray and thank God everyday that I still am able to share my time with him. Yes, please do share Dwayne's picture with us.

Thanks, everyone, for your kind words. I've posted pix under My Friend, Dwayne. the illustrations will be sent to the widow, who is putting together all the entries and comments from the blog to give to people who knew Dwayne.
