thanx everybody. very kind. didn't do anything all that special, just spent the day at home with my family (actually, as busy as i usually am during the summer, that is pretty special). my wife made one of my favourite meals-- tacos-- for dinner, and a delicious cake with chocolate cream cheese frosting. i got an old book full of huckleberry hound stories (he was my favourite cartoon character when i was a kid), a beatles t-shirt (can't believe i didn't already have one, apart from my own caricature t-shirt), a razor with four freakin' blades, dave matthews band's "under the table and dreaming" cd (it's my favourite of their cds, and i used to have it, but lost it), bob dylan's "blood on the tracks" cd, a pair of jeans, and-- my faourite-- an mp3 player. haven't had a chance to load anything on it yet or anything, but i'm really looking forward to having that with me at all times!
