Okay, here are my gag drawings. Hopefully these count as gags, even though the gag is really the same in all of them, but I figure that since they all combine into one nice set, that enhances the gagginess of it all. We have the Royal Flush of celebrities. Sean Hayes, or "Jack" of Spades "Queen" Latifah of Spades Stephen "King" of Spades "Ace" Ventura of Spades And the "Joker" (which is wild) Please let me know what you think. I experimented with digital coloring again; I'm still very not good at that. It occurs to me as I've been posting these that I've not been commenting much. I realize now that it's not that I care less, but rather that I was mostly negative with my comments before. Now, however, I've learned that I don't need to be self depricating to feel confident enough to post my work. I may not like it all, but that's why I'm here: to get better. This whole experience with this challenge thus far has been very freeing and inspirational. Thank you so much. Sorry about that little rant. Please critique. Thanks. -- Eric

This is my favourite of yours so far Eric, and well done for keeping up with the challenge Love the gag. Your caricatures are definitely improving and the bodies look great.

Great job on these Eric. I think I like Ace the best but they are all pretty good.

Very good job on these, Eric... I'd love to see the King colored in, and maybe an off-balance crown on top of his head. The whole series was a great idea!

Thank you all so very much for all of your comments. I'm sorry I've not responded until now; I tend to either be really busy or really good at procrastinating.
Lauren - My best so far, huh? Thank you very much. That means a lot. As far as keeping up with the challenge goes, I just really enjoy it, so it's not that hard. Plus I feel like I'm improving tons.
Mom - That's interesting. I don't actually think Ace turned out very well. Jim Carrey is tough for me, because he's so maleable that it's hard to get a capture of him that really says "Jim Carrey" to me, you know what I mean?
Dave - I agree that King should be colored. He was actually one of my favorites, likeness and body. I had actually thought about the off-balance crown, sorta like Jughead from the old Archie comics. The only reason I didn't do it here was because I was trying to keep the heads just the way the picture was, and then add the bodies, which is why Latifah has a hat, but it's not a crown.
Again, thank you all so much.
-- Eric
