Just wondering what this wacom tablet is, what it's for and where to get one! I'm really enjoying my drawings I'm doing and would like to get better and maybe explore going digital and color.
Thanks! ;D

Wacom tablets are great.it gives you the ability to draw right into the computer.Do a bit of research, type wacom in a search engine to learn what amazing things tha can be done with one.

basically, the tablet replaces your mouse. rather than dragging and clicking with a mouse, you use a pen tool to do anything a mouse can do, but with much more control, making it pretty much indispensible if you want to do digital artwork. it does take a little getting used to, as it seems that at first your cursor never quite seems to be going where you think you're pointing it. but you pick it up quickly, and it just becomes natural. i have one at work, and i'm dying to get one at home too but just can't afford it at the moment. if you are able to get one, definitely do yourself the favour!

thanks for the info. I will definitely check into it. As you might've seen from one of my other post, my "yungin" has gotten an interest in this type of art now and I would have to beat him down to get him away from this wacom tablet!! LOL
I wish I had discovered my love for drawing earlier in my years. I am only 34 so I still have some time!! LOL

There are all kinds of tablets! I looked on Ebay too and found some there. I am seriously considering getting one. I just have to decide which one.
If any of you guys are using one, which one do you use? Do they all come with software?

A Wacom tablet is simply the umbilical cord between technology and creativity.
I just threw those words together. Do you think Wacom would bite?
Hello, everyone! I've finally completed the pile on my drawing table and hope to return some sketches that have been long overdue.

I have a Graphire 4x5. Great for working in Flash. I can do all my work without messing with the mouse (that came with it). I have found a problem using it with Illustrator; but that's just me.

Ihave a wacom tablet and stylus and they're great! Using a mouse is like trying to draw with a baked potato!
