i thought i'd begin posting my work in progress of the survivor poster i've been planning. i will continue to post new stages as i go, with the end result being a colour poster of all the survivor all-stars. you can check out my sketches of the survivors in the survivor challenge. what i started with were the sketches of the survivor all-stars, done in pencil. i've got two left that i will post soon. what i'm doing in this picture is mapping out the placement of where each character is going to be on the poster. i have two ideas in mind, and i'm not sure which will work better (perhaps you could give me your suggestion). first idea is jeff probst in the middle, and the survivors' faces all around the outside edges. the second idea is the survivors sort of falling all over each other, with jeff in the middle. my next step will be to print out the sketches in the size i'm going to use for the final, and copy a pencil outline.

What size is the poster and what material are you using for the poster? Also, how will you transfer your sketches?

i am just using 2b pencil for now. i will eventually finish it in inkand colour. i'm drawing it on a 22x36 paper, and the final copy will go on white bristolboard. to transfer it, i will use the window method; tape the rough copy onto a large window, tape bristolboard, and trace it in 2h pencil. then it's back to the drawing board. i will show you that stage when i get to it (which should be soon, i hope).
