Happy new year fellow Cartoonians!
I am in the process of updating my website and have included links to some of your personal websites. I have been advised that unless you have the money to hire someone to promote your site, this is one way to help get hits at Google and other search engines.
If others would like their links added please email me.
I would appreciate the gesture returned.
Happy Trails! ... to qoute the old cowboy Roy Rogers!

Me again! Thanks to Stang I noticed the link to my website did not work. I noticed many others do not also. The problem is that you need to add the "http://" before your "www ... address" also. Mikey

I don't have a website, but I do have a blog. Would it be all right to link that?

this is one way to help get hits at Google and other search engines. I can understand that you might get more hits from other sites, but... What helps gets hits at Google and other search engines? I can't see how updating or linking will help you on a search engine - but then I'm no computer whiz either. ><> Frank Zieglar <>< -- In my opinion, we don't devote nearly enough scientific research to finding a cure for jerks. -- Calvin

One way it helps, is that when search engines update they fallow all the links on the pages they are looking at. So, if my site is already listed with google and I put your link on my site, your link will get added to google the next time it updates.
-Hope that makes sense-

Yeah, that does make sense.
I wonder how often those search engines do updates?

I read somewhere that they have some sort of crawlers that constantly run through and and update all the time. I've read in several places on website promotion exactly what ToonMom said. (And then again I've also read that the world is really round ... how dumb is that? ;D
Of coarse Google as well as most of them, you can buy spots and come up everytime ... if ya' got the money to pay to have people look at your stuff.
I have not sold anything from the web anyway. All of mine is local, word of mouth.

I've recreated my links page and added some clips of your webpages rather than just the link. Each is linked to your site.
I took the liberty to copying images of your logo or site name from your site and added it. It looks a lot better than just the link name.
If you prefer some other image, email me a jpg or jif that is 72 pixels by no more than about 680 pixels wide along with your link url if I do not have it and I will include it on my site.
Again I appreciate any links to my site that you may like to add to yours.
Thanky, Thanky, Thanky
