Oh, by the way, I am an Ojibwa Indian, and we have our own crazy reasonings for words. Here is the longest word in our vocabulary: mushkigominaboshkominadisagonabakwazigun (Cranberry Pie)

In Ohio, a hoodie is a hooded pull-over sweatshirt.
Our longest word is: abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz
But only if you watch Sesame Street ;D

lorna, i loved seeing that word. i even tried saying it aloud! (probably got it wrong, though!).we have a lot of cree words and names here. i'm learning some of those words...i think the language is fascinating. (it's an important part of history and settlement). what's the word for grampa and gramma? in cree, it's mooshum and kokum. in ukrainian, it's baba and papa. i speak neither language, even tho it's two of the most frequently spoken in this part of the country. here's a funny word that only canadians use: toque. that's pronounced "took"...it means a woolen hat. it's a francophone word. there are a lot of "crossover" words, that are the same in french or english. and some cree words, too. (a lot of place names in canada are cree or iroquis, huron, or dene indian names). once you get up north, then it's more inuit.

Stoontoons, Grandpa is Mishomis and Grandma is Nikomis, depending on which context you are referring. "ni" generally means "my". It gets really complicated when you start talking about Grandmother Moon, the ceremonies that go along with it! Oh...here's how you say the word: mush-kee-go-min--ah-bosh-ki-min-ih-diss-ih-gun-a-bah-kway-zhee-gun...... I just realized I forgot part of the word....oh well....lol I think I just told you a raw cranberry pie.

okay, so i understand now what bangers and mash is...are you supposed to eat the sausages and mashed potatoes together? sausages usually go with hash browns, or pancakes. i'm not sure about mashed potatoes. in england, what do they call a toque (woolen hat)?
