Zamfir, Nice job, I dont know how you manage with a mouse, ive tried drawing with a mouse before and its a pain. You need to get that scanner soon, so we can see your pencil work, if your mouse work is this good im banking on your pencil work being better.
Toonmom, Larry and Mike, thanks for your comments, its amazing what one months practice can do when I look at the differences between the two pictures.
Adam
Oh and yeah Mike keep the drawing as my rookie card, if I do ever become famous you can maybe sell it on eBay, you never know, pfft yeah right, I have a lot of years practice to go in order for me to become famous via caricature.

Well, I've used a mouse since they made them, but never really for cartooning or anything. Maybe all that mouse use paid off. I am ready to have a darn scanner though. ~zamfir

I see am going to shoot back with all these new drawings coming my way! THANKS It's fun to see new caricatures. ;D
Zamfir This is a good drawing and what is funny is, it makes me hurt to see you drawing with a mouse, I know I have done it! Here you have done a great job. Your empty spaces here are very well proportional, nice highlights and shading, and you have done well with the eyes. Thankyou I know this took so time as you here were working with the mouse.
Dream scanner
Mike
P.S. I just need to get mine to work and my printer. I just bought a new computer and have yet to get everything working right. But when I do I will be back!

Erik
Hey good likeness, thats my nose, my eyes, my forehead! Good work! I see that you are working with your new toy (Drawing Board).
Like you say before, it's a lot of fun! Try now to take your drawing to another level.
Try using layers with your drawing program.
Bottom layer- lay down a white background Top layer- do your inking/sketching outline Middle layer(s)- add in your face, hair, clothes, etc...
Try adding some weight to some of your inking with different bushes.
You are really going to love your new drawing tool, I know I do.
Have fun MIke N. ;D

Thanks Larry. Mike has gotten me on the right path to doing it the right way! He really knows what he's talking about (with the drawin program!) Everybody on here is very anxious to help out each other on how to improve. I hope one day to get good enough to return the favor! ;D Erik

Thanks Hans! That means alot and is encouraging as I continue to learn my way around my software! I admire your work and hope to get as good as you and as many others on this board as well. I'm still practicing the layers thing. It gets confusing remembering what's on what layer! ;D
