Horate, I love your Eddie, his forehead looks like a trilobite! Did a trilobite model for your picture? If one did, consider yourself VERY lucky as they happen to be extinct.

No i donĀ“t have a trilobite, but i like to study the abstract modern sculptures that i found on magazines or in the net. Lightshif i don`t see Eddie at all there, it`s an attempt but don`t give up, only take some time to make another one.

Yea I agree. I going try something else for awhile then return. I think I have made to many attempts and have to get away. This one of the more difficult caricatures I have attempted Judging by the low amount of people that have posted on this I there are others that are having a lot of difficulty. Keep on Keeping on

Here's another attempt at Eddie. I'm going to color this digitally. This is my line drawing. Please, comments, feedback, and suggestions are welcomed. Thanks, Ricky

much better Ricky, nice outlines.i think that eyes could be smaller, to give the face the aspect of caricature.

Here's a trick I learned about hair...shade in the area the hair is going to go until it is the right value. Then draw the actual hair. You can pick out highlights with an eraser. Anyway, I think the likeness is getting there! When I drew Eddie, I didn't really see his likeness until I got his hair darkened. That's why I made the remark about the hair. -Slim

alex (good to see you back) and craig- i think what both of you missed here was the face shape. eddie's got a long, thin face, where you both seem to have stretchged him horizontally instead. i can see that you did that because you were trying to exaggerate the width of his smile- which is definitely a key feature- but i think you need to figure out how to do that while maintaining a narrower face. that's some nice colouring, though, craig. you're mastering that program well.
for my money (i say that figuratively, of course. there's no actual money involoved here, so don't get excited), the best likeness so far on this thread is ricky's most recent attempt. i'd like to see that in more detail, ricky.

Everyone is doing great work on him. He's kinda hard to draw, at least to me. I'm working on mine. Hopefully, I'll have time to finish it.
