may i make a suggestion? i think his hair and beard are a little too dark. you got the smile great, and the crinkly eyes. perhaps just drawing the outside hairs and not filling it in so much would work for the beard.
i'm actually beginning to like tom. i didn't on africa, but he's changed. i think he's a lot smarter than people have given the dumb farmer credit for!

Toonmom Hi,
Great job. I think your work is looking much stronger. More solid. Nice variation in the shape of the eyes. so many artist draw both eyes exactly the same. Nice treatment of the neck. I like that you didn't draw any extraneous lines. Gettin better all the time! ;D
