yup. i started painting right on the wall, and then when i was halfway finished, we bought a house. so then i had to figure out how to get the wall out and moved. we took it out in three sections, and had to replace the dryall and then paint the new wall. (a carpenter we know helped us a great deal). i rode in the back of a pickup truck holding onto the pieces. the landlord kept saying he didn't think we could move it without damaging the wall, so we might have to leave it. so not! we took the entire wall out, and replaced it. it was either coming with me, or getting destroyed, but i wasn't going to leave it intact in that house. i'll get some pix of the wall as it hangs now posted in a day or two.

i am flattered that you are inspired to draw by my wall. that's definitely a great compliment. i use something called Golden Acrylics. they are artist's quality, waterbased. i add Golden gesso medium to it, which helps to keep the colour, but stretch the paint, so you don't need to use as much. i sealed the painting when i was done with Golden matte varnish, to protect it from sun and light. i've also used Liquitex acrylics on this, and they are cheaper, but very good quality. the lips are the ones that appear at the beginning of Rocky Horror Picture Show. (trivia here: Richard O'Brien sang the song, but it was Magenta's lips that appeared!). just wondering, aimee, can you name all the movies and characters? it's kinda fun when people come over, to see if they can guess them. maybe i should list all the movies for people?

wow! you got quite a few! i'll let you know the ones you missed... no jean claude van damme (i'm not really a fan). that is bruce willis from die hard. the two little guys are actually the canadian version of dumb and dumber! that's rick moranis and dave thomas from a strange but intensely funny flick called Strange Brew. i've never met anyone outside of canada that thinks it's funny...i guess that's because a lot of the references are jokes that only canadians know... you're right about the terminator. robocop is in the top corner, above bruce. the guy with the whip is indiana jones. yes, buffy is there, too.

I love Strange Brew! My brother used to watch it a least once a week when I was a kid and I always sat along side him and watched it too. My hubby loves the movie as well (none of us are from Canada).
The wall is awesome!
