sorry about theoneandonly. aimee is easier to type! i will try to remember that each time.
i read your comments about your teacher hating anime. blaze could tell you some stories about art teachers and anime...it just seems they don't want to recognize it as a valid art style...even tho you have to use composition, tone, value, drawing skills, just like any other art.

i definetely undertstand that, another thing so many traditional art ppl refuse to recognise is cg art. >.< they dont seem to understand that its just another medium, its not being "lazy" or cheating.... grr

i find that a lot of people think cartoons, whether it's anime or superheroes, or caricatures, aren't real art...that it's just something people doodle when they're bored. they don't realize the work we artists put into our art....just think, the only art that most people remember is the pop culture stuff. how many people will get to see the mona lisa or the sistine chapel? but looking at the local gallery, taking a drawing class, reading a new comic book....those are all things that anyone can do. it's funny to me, but i draw better than most of my co-workers at the gallery where i work. it's because i draw all the time, and i practise different skills, not just contemporary art (which is way beyond me anyway).
your work is quite good, and you obviously have a passion for the medium. that's what counts, anyway. draw what you love to draw!

excuse me, i know this isnt very polite or sociable but could you please remove your art from my gallery thread?
im not interested in seeing your caricatures on my anime thread, im interested in comments on the style i use, not the style you *think* i should be using.
please delete them or move them to another thread immediately thanx.

theoneandonly: just to let you know, this is a warning post for you to smarten up. this community/message board is meant to encourage, not hinder and manners are quite welcome here - however, your comments were only full of rudeness. hans was only trying to help - if you can't accept that, then move on.

yes i know and i apologise. when i said it i realised it was incredibly rude and i felt badish about it but you have to understand that i get very defensive about my art, i can deal with cc but someone repeatedly saying i should just use a whole other style all together was just not the sort of thing i appreciate. think how youd react?
and the request to have the other art removed from my thread was just that: i made this thread to get cc on my art, i dont want it getting offtrack. i know i wasnt very tactful about it and again i apologise. ill try not to be so rude in future but can you at least appreciate that while hans may have been trying to help all it looked like to me was an attack on my style because everyone else here sticks to caricatures?
