Well friends, first we will carry out our victim's caricature, in this case we choose actor Collin Farell. Well, let us begin… 1. - we open our actor's picture and we duplicate the layer. 2. - we carry out the picture corresponding caricature, (to see tutorial of picture caricature) 3. - we apply the filter artistic poster edges (you embroider added) with the suitable values so that the image becomes lines and plane forms. 4.- I filter stylize (to stylize) and I select difusse (diffusion) according to the example. 5. - I select anisotropic and the image becomes a drawing, style comic 6. - we couple layers. That is everything, friends and remember: ... if I can make it, you also. A hug, Vidal http://www.vidal-ec_com

Vidal i appreciate you taking the time to post how you do your work.It is interesting to see your process.I have no desire to ever do a photocaricature myself. But am always interested to see how it is done...I would ask other members who dont want to see it,to maybe be a bit more considerate of how other people do there artwork.

Thank you again Grant, for your support and to understand it. To criticize is very easy, but I remember what a teacher taught me...
"When you are able to criticize something it is for that are able to make something better and you can demonstrate it..., if you can not make it, you should remain silent and to learn..."

Yea I have to agree with this Tooned. It might not be everyones cup of tea or even mine, but Vidal has taken the time to post how he works, and we should respect that, if I don't like something I just don't comment on it, that doesn't mean everytime I don't say something it's because I don't like it, it's just I didn't have the time or whatever, I admit there's way too much backslapping on this forum, but c'mon people, if you don't like something just move on to the next post, it's not like it's clogging up your hard drive.

Agree with you Tooned,OK,... i said my opinion with respect, i think, but don`t turn the things, i give a serious opinion, this is a forum, a place where people gather to discuss ideas and share opinions, to debate, to argue, to inform. I don't care whether you express yourself more eloquently than F. Scott Fitzgerald or with the literary ineptitude of a Spanish-to-English instruction manual, i want to read all what the people have to write. i be surprised at how many of us initially came here just to take the caricatures and run, but ended up staying on because we made the happy discovery that posting can be...well, fun, and an interesting way of learn...but for to learn, and grow up, the principle is to hear all kinds of opinions, good, bad,stupids,..etc ...it´s life,...and at the end, life, is what give us the good and necesary responses that we need.To me all posts are equal here, and i have respect for all the people here,....even my own posts !!!, i gona cry....snif,snif....i´m so exited....

This is a place to learn and to grow, but this isn't the place to argue and be rude to other members. There are plenty of other boards out there for that. There is a difference between offering some advice or just stating your opinion about something and attacking a member because you don't like what they are doing. How does telling someone what they do sucks helpful to them or anyone else?

Just come across this thread - I'm not a fan of Vidal's photo manipulations BUT I agree with Grant, Niall and Toonmom - telling someone their work 'sucks' crosses the barrier. Constructive criticism is great ... ignorant abuse is not, good manners cost little ...... Terry
