This weeks challenge is called 5 for 5. Do 5 caricatures only spending 5 minutes on each one. That is total time from start to finish. If you have a timer you can set, use it to avoid watching the clock. You choose who you want to draw this week.
Good luck and have fun.

Quick question, toonMom --
Let's assume we aren't able to finish the entire face in 5 minutes; do we still post that, and does it still count? Like, if we only really finish three of the five people we chose, so we post three finished faces, and two mostly finished, will that count as five, or three? I'd hate to lose this thing on a technicality.
Thanks. I feel like that was a dumb question.

Post what you have. I thought it would be fun to do some quick drawings. I think it's a good drill too. If you only get half a face done, post that, but try to get the whole thing done in five minutes.

Here is my first one. It is Summer from The OC. I have found in the past that when I try to do a quick drawing, I always make them smaller. I did the same thing here. Anyone know how to fill the page better?

My problem is the exact opposite to yours - I always draw too big and end up losing part of the head off the edge of the page!

Try drawing a rough head shape in the middle of the page as a guide, then continue from there. remember to allow for hair.

Hey Frank, don't see you much around these parts. I am drawing on 8.5x11 paper. I want to fill the entire sheet but end up with it about 1/2 filled. When I start, I envision it almost right up to the edge of the paper but that never happens.
