At www.jasc.com is today the announcement of the new release of verson 9.While you are there to check it out, look at the bottom of the frontpage what they've added on the same day as the release of their flagship..... Now that should boost sales! Talking of PSP,one (especially Stang)could also buy ,or look into ComputerArts issue of september for the review of the program.....

Congrats! That's wonderful. How were you contacted?
In addition I would like to get my hands on ComputerArts but the mag is pretty expensive.

Well as one will notice when trying the PSP ,or reading my review ,the ArtMedia tools look very familiar (....think...... ) So to test these things out they needed someone with a least a little bit experience on the Oilbrush ,(digitally). As I happened to have just published a tutorial about ArtRage (.....think......) ;)They've asked me to join the Private testinggroup. Some remarks got noticed by other testers and programmers, and soon the ball went rolling.First they published a press release, announcing the soon to come out version, with a quote of mine . And then ComputerArts followed. (if it's too expensive, you can" look trough before buying" Look for page 83 It features a oilpainted selfcaricature, and a familiar face, along with a "normal" painting.....

Thanks for the story. So how has life changed for you since becoming a celebrity? In all seriousness, good show!

Wow Hans great stuff . I have got paint shop pro 8, had it for about a month now. my friend gave it to me . I have yet to use it, its installed and ive played around with it a bit. Im currently saving up for a wacom tablet. so I can have a go at some digital colouring. I wish I had the income to save for a cintiq, but im just going to have to stick with a graphire. Are they good for a person thats never used a tablet before?, easy to use functions etc? Adam

Graphire, or intuos is an exellent choice.Cintic is the "rolls" of tablets.I've drawn for years with a penpartner. They are all very good, it has to come from your hands, and practise of course. Did you, or your friend, buy PSP8 in last month?

My friend said he bought not so long after it was released. It was a spur of the moment buy when he saw it in a computer shop. He didnt use it much after that and decided I might have some use for it.

pitty, should you have bought it in the last month before the release, you could have gotten a free upgrade to 9.
I always use 7, version nine is shipping to me as I write..I intend to use them alongside eachother.

Very good and well deserved article Hans . . . . . I'd like to wish you the best in your new work/popularity . . . . as far as PSP, it looks very interesting, I'll do some more research on it . . . . . mainly because I just purchased coreldraw12 and I'm getting use to many more ways of finishing off my caricatures (warm colors, right!) . . . . . well I'm getting typers-cramp so I'll end it for now . . . . STANG ;D
