Just as the title says:
Question: How long has everyone been drawing caricatures?
I have been doing them for around a month now I guess, maybe a bit more than a month. I tend to draw as much as I can, usually everyday, practice makes perfect.

I started July 6, 2003 to be exact. I have never drawn live and I kind of draw in " spurts" (I draw a bunch then I don't draw again for weeks or even months).

I've been fiddling with it seriously for the last three months I guess, but I have been interested in art since about 1959!

Since July 8, this year, and hoping that I can achieve even a small portion of the skills demonstrated by so many of the truly gifted artists on this board.

thank goodness caricature shop, you've been drawing longer than me! i started drawing caricatures in 1990, when i took a cartooning class at the local ymca for fun and the instructor asked me to draw at a trade show. i really started to improve, though, in the last couple of years when i took mauri's course and reading a lot more about other caricature artists.

Well I started to draw caricatures in September of 2001, to help my daughter who together we were going to get into drawing caricatures to help her with earning some extra money.
We went to the 2002 NCN convention and got hook big time. I really want to learn and grow in this art. Right now it just pays for my toys. But I am hoping it will work into a part time income. My daughter is still drawing and taking orders from time to time.
Drawing caricatures are so much fun and I can get lost in it so easily. It's very satisfying, I wish I can do this for a living.

Birdie - have you been drawing caricatures since 64 (non-pro)? or did you take a break for a while?

Been drawing constantly. Have also done caricatures of people as vegetables or bears!
