Kind of. I drew it by hand and coloured in the bandana and sunglasses with felt tips, but it looked really bad so I tried to claw it back by adding colour in photoshop.

Lauren, great Rowan Atkinson. I think if you used the first reference picture it would have been a better caricature, but remember that doesn't matter. I like this though. Great Job!!!! Joey, I love both your caricatures here. great Frankenstein....hehe, I like the long face. Lauren, great Hulkster....I can just hear him say "what ya gonna do when lauren's pen starts drawing you" Great Job!!! Toonmom, I love your shot at Al Sharpton. AWESOME JOB!!!!

Hey Joey, good job, I can already see you improving Thanks for the comments Ricky. Love the colour in your caricatures. They would look awesome with strong blocks of colour like markers too. ToonMom, great to see some of your work. Looking good! Lauren

Thanks to everyone for your comments it really means a lot to me and boosts my desire to learn. I also admire and love all the posts in this challenge. I am learning from each and every one of them. By the way here is a site I found that has great portraits so we can use in the future to practice. www.allposters.com/Thanks, Joey

Thanks Ricky, Lauren, Ricky, waht do you use for color? I will be experimenting with photoshop but I would like to know what you all are using for color? Toonmom had started this question here: virtualart.proboards20.com/index.cgi?board=carcTalk&action=display&thread=1078832451I guess we can answer there so we don't tie this section up. I would be interested in knowing how and what everyone uses to color their drawings. Thanks Joey

For Hulk Hogan I used felt tip pens at first, but decided that i absolutely hate them. So I used photoshop to add the skin colour. I was in a rush but I hope to really improve on my Photoshop technique. On my next caricature I might try using my watercolour pencils and see what they turn out like.
For drawing I use a 2B pencil, and then a black felt tip to define the edges.

great question about what everyone uses for color. I enjoy learning about new mediums to try. The Kiss series is being done with prismacolor colored pencils on Fabriano Watercolor paper. I'm playing around with different papers also. My 5th caricature for the challenge and the 4th in the Kiss series may be using a graphics tablet. I really like the look of caricatures done with that.
